Pet adoption event at NASCAR SpeedPark Concord

PARC Foundation, K104.7 and Project Halo partner to help homeless pets

JUNE 2011 – PARC Foundation, the charitable arm of NASCAR SpeedPark Concord, North Carolina, is pleased to announce their partnership with the K104.7 street team and Project HALO (Helping Animals Live On) for the upcoming Pet Adoption Event on July 9, 2011.

PARC Foundation teamed up with these organizations on two previous occasions this year: May 15, 2011 and June 25, 2011. Project Halo brought a handful of their four legged friends on site; the dogs interacted with park guests and K104.7 played music and did remote broadcast that drove traffic to the event. Pet Adoption participants were encouraged to bring unopened wet and dry dog food and received $2 off an Unlimited Ride Wristband to the SpeedPark for their contribution to Project Halo.

As a result, one pet adoption took place on site and Project Halo received several cans of unopened food and dog treats. “We are happy that we have the opportunity to partner with such a great organization,” says Bob Baldwin, Executive Director of PARC Foundation. “To be able to use our park as a community location to bring together non‐profit organizations and see them benefit from an event like this, matches well with our mission to strengthen communities.”

The “Official Family Fun Park of NASCAR®”, NASCAR SpeedPark’s five exciting locations in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Concord, N.C., Sevierville, Tenn., St. Louis, Mo. and Toronto, Ontario, are among North America’s top tourist attractions. Owned and operated by PARC Management, LLC, NASCAR SpeedPark Concord offers five race tracks, miniature golf, kids’ rides, indoor rock climbing and play areas, laser tag and more.
