NASCAR SpeedPark’s and
PARC Foundation Unite on
NASCAR Day For Children’s Charities

The inaugural NASCAR Day Car Wash for Kids, an initiative of NASCAR Unites, brought together the local community and collectively washed about 100 cars and raised nearly $800.00 for local children’s charities on NASCAR Day, May 20, 2011. PARC Foundation, the charitable arm of NASCAR SpeedPark, organized two car wash locations, Concord, North Carolina and Sevierville, Tennessee. These locations generated volunteerism, raised funds for The NASCAR Foundation, and two local children’s charities; the Smoky Mountains Children’s Home and the Levine Children’s Hospital. Overall, the NASCAR Day Car Wash included 32 locations from Concord N.C. to Fontana, Calif. and raised nearly $40,000 towards children’s charities.

“The PARC Foundation is grateful for the support of the volunteers that participated in this firstyear effort,” said Bob Baldwin, executive director of the PARC Foundation. “Without the involvement of the NASCAR SpeedPark’s this community involved fundraiser would have not been possible.”

Fans who missed out on NASCAR Day Car Wash for Kids still can support the mission of NASCAR Unites by donating $5.00 to get a NASCAR Unites wristband or $10.00 to get a NASCAR Day Pin at NASCAR.COM/foundation. NASCAR Unites wristbands encourage volunteerism in local communities and work towards the goal of one million volunteer hours and $1 million for children’s charities. The eighth-annual limited edition NASCAR Day pins continue an ongoing history of supporting The Foundation’s efforts to help kids live happier, healthier lives through organizations like Victory Junction.
