MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Raising nearly $10,000 for local charities
Jacksonville, FL ‐ (September 22, 2011) – PARC Foundation, the charitable arm of PARC Management teamed up with five nonprofits to raise funds and awareness for each organizations’ services in the community’s each park serves. To promote the cause park employees at each of the PARC Management parks asked guests if they would like to donate $1 or round up their ticket price to the nearest whole dollar during park purchases. Park guests contributed to this campaign from July 4 – August 31st. In this combined effort, PARC Foundation raised nearly $10,000.00 for the five participating nonprofit organizations.
The five organizations are located in the communities where PARC properties are located. PARC partnered with Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition in St Louis, MO, Grand Strand Miracle League in Myrtle Beach, SC, Kids Help Phone in Vaughan, ONT, Levine Children’s Hospital in Concord, NC, and Smoky Mountain Children’s Home in Sevierville, TN.

With the Foundation’s support, each park worked hard to raise funds through a community involvement approach. Social media was also utilized as a means of raising awareness for each nonprofit.
