with Community Service Award
NASCAR SpeedPark, Assistant General Manager, Ben Hess was in attendance to receive the Smoky
Mountain Children’s Hospital Community Service award on behalf of NASCAR SpeedPark and PARC
Foundation. The award was for dedicated service to the Children’s Home in the 2010‐2011 program
year.
NASCAR SpeedPark and PARC Foundation have partnered with Smoky Mountain Children’s home in a
variety of different events, including the Aflac Race Day, held in April 2010 and Trees of Hope Christmas
Event in December 2010. Ben Hess, the park’s Assistant General Manager was also involved in the
planning of the 90th year Anniversary Christmas Banquet for the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home held
in 2010.
For the 2011 program year, NASCAR Speedpark and PARC Foundation plan to partner with the Smoky
Mountain Children’s home for two additional charitable events, the Car Wash for Kids, a partnership
with NASCAR Unites, which will be held in May 2011, as well as the ‘Round Up Campaign’, which will
accept charitable donations at the park’s cash register, scheduled to be held in July 2011.
