PARC FOUNDATION RAISES OVER 16K FOR AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
Jacksonville, Fla., (July 18, 2011) – PARC Foundation, the charitable arm of PARC, is committed to strengthening children and communities. Partnering with the American Heart Association (AHA) is one of the many ways PARC Foundation strives to inspire smiles within the communities it serves. Between May 26th and July 3rd, PARC properties participated in the AHA Hands Only CPR campaign, donating 100% of funds to AHA. Park guests contributed to the campaign by donating $1 or rounding up their ticket price during their purchases.
The PARC properties that participated were: NASCAR SpeedPark® Concord, NASCAR SpeedPark® St.Louis, NASCAR SpeedPark® Smoky Mountains, NASCAR SpeedPark® Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Waves Water Park and Pavilion Nostalgia Park in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Each park created fun and meaningful experiences for guests and staff alike. Together the parks raised a combined effort of over $16,000.00, with NASCAR SpeedPark® Smoky Mountains raising the most funds during this campaign. This property also partnered with the local American Heart Association and painted hearts along a half-mile track leading to the park’s entrance. Pavilion Nostalgia Park raised the second highest amount of funds.
In addition to guest donations, each park lead by example, showing the “heart” of this campaign by personally donating. Jars labeled with managers names were available to all team members for donations, and the managers whose jars received the highest donations had a pie thrown in their face.
PARC Foundation is proud of all the park’s efforts to make this a successful campaign. The campaign raised awareness about the importance of Hands Only CPR and the funds raised are critical in supporting the ongoing research done by the American Heart Association.
